Avi
Clipper
This is a very useful tool for extracting an
interesting section of a movie to keep, send or re-use in a video editor. The
starting point is not precise, as the process depends on the availability of key
frames. In general, if the cutting
point is not a key frame, the starting point will be moved back until a key
frame is found. This makes sure that you get all of the segment you are
interested in. This should not be a problem when re-using the clipping as most
video editors will allow you to shift the starting point later. If the aim is to
keep or send the clip, the advantage is clear: there is no loss of quality and
the footprint of your video is much smaller than it would be if you had to
provide the whole movie.
